2 Ways You Can Protect Your Business

Charlie Fuller

If you own a business, it is your job to make sure your employees are safe as well as the customers or clients that visit you. Fortunately, there are many things you can do to provide this protection, two of which are listed below.

Fire Watch Security Guard

A fire watch security guard is a guard that is trained to watch over your business and patrol the property to look for any types of fire hazards. When they first arrive at your business, they will do a full inspection. This allows them to see if you currently have fire hazards. If so, they will make the needed changes. Fire hazards include shorts in electrical circuits, faulty equipment, incorrect storage of flammable liquids and chemicals, and problems with electric appliances, such as an HVAC unit.

The fire watch security guard will patrol your building regularly throughout the day and/or night. If you hire more than one fire watch security guard, they will keep records of their shifts and document if they found any type of fire hazards.  The fire watch security guard can also install equipment that provides you with fire safety, such as smoke detectors, fire alarms, fire monitoring systems, and more. They will test all these systems on a regular basis to ensure they are working properly.

Security System

Along with a fire watch security guard, you should install a security system. The security company can place sensors at all entry points and windows so an alarm will sound when someone tries to break in, provided that the security system is turned on. A control panel is installed somewhere in the building for you to turn the security system off and on, as well as perform other settings. How this works will depend on the security company that you hire.

You could also install security cameras on the property. You should consider installing these at the front entrance and other entrances you may have, such as at the back of your building. You can choose to hide the security cameras so they are not seen, or you can have them displayed in full sight. If an intruder sees a camera, they will see that it is turned on as there will be a blinking light or another type of light.

Other things you can do to provide safety for your business include, hiring a security guard, installing a fence around your property with a security gate, and installing a key card entry system.

About Me
Focusing On Security

When my daughter told us that there were footprints that went around the side of our home, we started wondering what could have possibly caused the problem. We realized that there had been a few robberies in the place, and so we started evaluating our options. It occurred to us that we needed to boost our home security and fast, since it could really determine how safe we were. We installed a security fence, an alarm system, and even a few cameras to prevent problems, and it made a significant difference. Read this website to find out how to identify security lapses and resolve them before they become a real problem.
